"Sangama" means "confluence," and this is where the Arkavathi River merges with the Cauvery River. The spot is wide, calm-looking, and scenic, with sandy banks and open views.

Mekedatu :

Mekedatu translates to “Goat’s Leap," named after a local legend that a goat once escaped a tiger by leaping across the narrow gorge. Here, the Cauvery River is squeezed through a very tight rocky passage, only a few meters wide in places, causing the water to surge violently through the canyon.

Chunchi Falls:

Chunchi Falls is one of the most beautiful and well-known waterfalls near the Sangama–Mekedatu region of Karnataka, located close to Kanakapura in Ramanagara district. Formed by the Arkavathi River, the falls sit in a rocky gorge surrounded by thick forest and dramatic granite cliffs.
